GULL repress has arrived...Tour dates too!
A long overdue update around here begins with some vinyl resurgence.
Gull has been touring like mad all over the US. In the past couple years, he has traveled up and down both American coasts and even spent some time in the streets of Mexico for the experience of international busking. He‘s performed on as many streets and in as many art galleries and basement shows as he can. And this past Winter, he even had the opportunity to open for “supergroup“ Tres Mts. (Pearl Jam, Kings X, whaaa?) on a short East Coast stint. He‘s one of the hardest working guys I know that really throws himself into his art, and I am so happy and honored to have had the opportunity to release a record for him.
The first pressing of the late ‘09 release “The Thin King“ had sold out a couple months ago, but just in time the repress is here!
The “main“ vinyl color is a bright and sunny opaque yellow. But as we all know, on tour everything becomes a dirty filthy mess. The limited tour color is no exception as that bright yellow looks like it got mucked up with black exhaust fumes and oil.
Unfortunately (and typically) the records did not get here before Gull‘s current tour, but if you are nearby these dates, I highly recommend checking his performance out. His music matures, progresses, and gets better and better every time I witness it.
